Jim Carrey On The Power Of Intention

Universal Laws - The Law of Intention

The Law of Intention states:
Whatever you intend to happen will happen. Intention is a power very like the 'Law of Gravity.' While the 'Law of Gravity' is recognised and understood by everyone the 'Law of Intention' is a lesser known yet just as powerful force. While the 'Law of Gravity' holds you down to the ground and the planets on their courses the 'Law of Intention' in effect goes before you always. This Law moves and shapes the airwaves and atmospheres so that whatever you intend to happen will happen.
Expectation is the opposite side of the coin to intention. Imagine if you will that an intention goes out from you as a force and returns to you as an expectation. If you intend something you automatically expect it and if you expect something you have, unwittingly perhaps, intended it.
In actual fact whether you know it or not, you are putting intention into every single thing you do. In every moment of every day, intention is at work for you. In much the same way as the 'Law of Gravity' it is in operation continually. Without being aware of it you put some form of intention into every task you perform. Intention goes before you like an invisible force, either opening doors or keeping them shut depending entirely on your intention.
Every moment of the day you are moving with the 'Law of Intention' and while you sometimes use deliberate intention, by making a choice to do something, over 90% of your daily intentions are habitual. In other words you just carry on doing whatever you've always done on auto pilot.
When you understand the 'Law of Intention' life can take on a whole new meaning and you can deliberately intend for your day to go the way you want it to.
Intention = Expectation
Intention and expectation are interchangeable. If you are dreading something or not looking forward to it your expectation is it will be difficult and it will be so. Conversely, if you are looking forward to something, feeling confident and sending out positive energy your expectation is whatever you are doing will be successful or enjoyable and once again it is so. Whatever you expect is your intention and your intention is whatever you expect!
You can change the whole outcome of anything you normally dread or don't look forward to by changing the intention before you do it. Set a different intention and you will get a different outcome. The phone call you were dreading can become easy and productive, the social occasion you weren't looking forward to can become enjoyable and the interview can be successful if you set an intention for it beforehand.
If you are always late, intend to arrive on time, if you always eat too much intend to be satisfied with a small amount and if you haven't been sleeping very well intend to sleep like a log. It's all in the intention and the majority of your intentions are habitual but the 'Law of Intention' like all Universal Laws is impersonal. The 'Law of Intention' just is, like gravity it has no favourites.
If the world understood intention in the same way it understands gravity and used it as wisely we could prevent many of the wars, famines and strife that we have to endure. Understand this Law and use it wisely.

FAITH & IMAGINATION | Steve Harvey Motivational Speech 2019

Imagineering Your Dreams Come True

How good is your imagination? Can you visualise easily? Can you feel a feeling without something external happening in your world? Can you smell a smell without an actual odour present?
I believe our imagination is one of the best tools that we have as people. I'm not sure animals have an imagination - I'd like to think that my kitten imagines playing with a ball of yarn, yet I don't think it does. However, we imagine all the time. In fact, your imagination is the best way to tap into your unconscious mind!
The term Imagineering comes from Walt Disney's blend of the words imagination and engineering; representing the ability to blend creativity and expertise to produce an outcome. In NLP speak - when you can be an imagineer in your own life you can have an intention and get to your desired state.
When you can become an Imagineer in your own life - wonderful things can happen! In fact, everything in the world happens at least twice:
  • First, in your imagination.
  • Then, in reality.
I have heard from clients and students who tell me they don't have a good imagination. Well, imagination isn't only about creativity; before you get dressed in the morning, you have to imagine what you are going to wear that day (even briefly). Before you choose something to eat, you imagine eating it.
When I hear that someone doesn't think they have a good imagination, what I hear is "I don't trust my imagination". Sometimes as people grow up they are taught that only what is REAL is good and somehow they squash their belief in imagination. Yet - its around all the time. The more you can trust it the better.
By the way, another way of saying I don't trust my imagination is "I don't trust my unconscious mind" - which can squelch creativity, motivation, desire, intention, possibilities, health and even dreams!
Let's try a few imagination tricks to get your imagination imagineering...
To do this, read the question and then just give an answer... by the way, there is no wrong answer... if you second guess - this again shows a lack of trust.
  1. In the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, what colour were the bears?
  2. In the story of Little Red Riding Hood, what is in her basket?
  3. In the story of Hansel & Gretel, what colour shirt does Hansel wear?
  4. In the story of the Ugly Duckling, how many 'ducklings' were there?
I used stories that most people will know - and parts of the stories that we have to imagine or create things for. We each may have different answers for these questions - based on our own imagination. And, based on your imagination - your answers are right!
Why did we do this little exercise? To remind you that you have an active imagination and that you can use it. If that task was challenging - spend the rest of today remembering old childhood stories and making up new endings! Start to build a strong rapport with your unconscious mind and imagination. After all, resistance is a sign of a lack of rapport. Yes, you can have rapport with your unconscious mind!
Let me tell you about a study conducted by Drs. Guang Yue and Kelly Cole in 1992. They wanted to conduct a study to test the power of the imagination to create a physical change - the idea being that simply imagining performing an act (in this case, muscular movement), will create an change in your neural pathways.
The experiment was extremely simple in its nature, but the results have amazing implications. Two groups were use; One of the groups did a physical exercise and the other imagined doing that exercise. Both groups exercised a finger muscle, Monday through Friday, for four weeks. The physical group did trials of fifteen maximal contractions, with a twenty-second rest between each. The mental group merely imagined doing fifteen maximal contractions, with a twenty-second rest between each, while also imagining a voice shouting at them, Harder! Harder! Harder!
The results: at the end of the study the physical group increased their muscular strength by 30%. The imagining group increased their muscle strength by 22%.
Sometimes, when people say "It's all in your mind" - they are right! When you are Imagineering - remember, if it's possible for someone, it's possible for me.
Dream on!

Louise Hay - 50 mins of positive affirmations to change your attitude.

Affecting Positive Results Through Affirmations

Last time we talked about how to begin building the mind's powerful framework for success. The lesson we needed to learn was that self-talk has a powerful affect on the results we achieve. We learned that the mind will manifest whatever we dwell on, be it negative or positive.
This week, I would like to continue with our discussion of self-talk and suggest how you may supercharge your self-talk and the results you achieve through the use of affirmations.
Affirmations are a powerful mental programming technique that are underutilized and laughed at by many. You may remember the Saturday Night Live skit with Stuart Smiley sitting in front of the mirror saying "I'm good enough; I'm smart enough and doggone-it, people like me!" The image of this character makes one laugh, however when understood in the context of how powerful Stuart's technique really is, it shouldn't!
Affirm means to "make firm." So affirmation simply means to make a strong statement that something is already so. We know that we will eventually reap whatever our conscious mind sows onto the field of the subconscious. So through affirmations we will develop into whatever image of ourselves we create, be it good or bad. I suggest using positive affirmations to develop into all that you desire to be!
One of the most poignant examples of the power of affirmations comes from the boxing legend Muhammed Ali. When you think of Muhammed Ali, what vision comes to mind?
Actually, two visions come to my mind:
The first is of Ali standing in the ring over a defeated opponent with a sweat covered face, surrounded by his trainers. Ali yells, "I'm the king of the world, I am the greatest, I'm Muhammed Ali. I shook up the world, I am the greatest, I'm king of the world. I'm pretty, I'm pretty, I'm a baaaad man, you heard me, I'm a baaad man."
The second is of Ali wrapped in his boxing robe, dancing from side to side before a bout. He exclaims, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." Is this simply brash talk from yet another cocky athlete? I don't believe so. I believe that Muhammed Ali knew the power of affirmations. He spoke what he wanted to be, and as a result became it.
For the purposes of improving yourself and achieving the successes you've always desired, I want you to take it on faith that affirmations DO work. Give it a try, if only for a couple months and then make up your mind whether to keep using them.
In order to do this, you will need to know some basics about how to get the most out of affirmations. First, the subconscious mind does not understand the future tense. When you use affirmations, you should always speak of the present. The past does work but not nearly as well. Speak as if the things you want are happening in your life right now. For example, if your goal is to become the manager of a division you currently work in, you need to picture it now:
"I am enjoying the title and responsibility of being manager for the ABC Division of XYZ Company and am doing successful and important work. I am being recognized by my peers and my employer for my good and honorable efforts."
The affirmations need to be positive and personal! You should usually start your statement with "I." The affirmation should be specific. Tell your mind exactly what it is that you want and you will get better results.
The affirmation should also be short, easy to remember, and easy to apply.
Finally, your affirmation should be emotionally intense! Don't just say it, BELIEVE IT. Shout it at the top of your lungs if you must, but convince your mind, no matter how hard, that it is actually true. This is so important! Your success in using affirmations will live or die on how intensely you can get your mind to buy into your spoken words.
I believe that you should write down and repeat your affirmations at least twice a day. I recommend that you do it as soon as you wake up and right before you go to bed. Your assignment for the next two weeks is to write down five affirmations that you want in your life. Repeat them, at least twice a day, for two weeks. If you do so, I believe that you will be quickly on the path to achieving the success you desire.
To Your Success,
Joel

How To Reprogram Your Mind (for Positive Thinking)

Succeed with a Positive Mental Attitude

"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude." - Thomas Jefferson
Without a doubt, Mr Jefferson offers priceless advice. Indeed, a positive mental attitude is awesome in enabling you not only to reach your goals, but also to lead a more fulfilling life.
Maintaining a positive attitude can take you to heights you find unbelievable. And the good news is that there is no rocket science involved in developing a positive attitude.
When you consider, for example, a world class athlete, you will see that he or she is totally focused when training, as well as when competing. There is no first place for anyone who does not have a positive mental attitude.
Sure, it's easy to say you should have a positive attitude, but how can this be achieved practically?
Here is an idea you can use. Find a newspaper or magazine article of an account where someone overcame great odds, or just a story that you find inspiring. Now, when you tend towards feeling negative, or when you feel things aren't going exactly according to plan, read the article. Do this regularly at the start, and as time goes on, you reduce the number of times you read the piece. And read the same piece every time. You will be amazed at the results.
Your mental attitude towards your goal, and towards life itself, can mean the difference between success and failure. When things don't go according to plan, ask yourself: "How bad are things REALLY?" You'll find that just by asking this simple question (and answering it honestly) your attitude will be boosted considerably.
And remember the words of Mr Jefferson, "nothing on earth can help the man [or woman] with the wrong mental attitude."

The power of purpose | Steve Taylor | TEDxSquareMile

The Power of Purpose

"Whatever your age, if you learn to listen, your inner voice will speak to you about your path," writes oncologist Dr. Bernie Siegel in Peace, Love and Healing, your 'job on earth.' This wisdom that is directing you from within is your birthright... an inner message, an inner awareness, that says, 'This is your path, this is how you can be the best human being possible.' If you follow it, you will achieve your full growth and full potential as a human being before you let go of the Tree of Life... "
I know Dr. Bernie is right, because I see the power of the inner voice daily in my clients, in my friends, and in my own life. My clients ask, "How can I access that voice, that wisdom, and get my feet started on the path?"
It's easy for any of us to get discouraged with suffering throughout the world: racial prejudice; addiction and self-destruction; political oppression in its many forms (starvation, war, torture, misinformation, imprisonment, denial of rights of speech, health and human dignity, and just plain bigotry and nastiness).
My own reaction, years ago, was despair. "I can't stand it! So much suffering! So many issues! There's nothing significant I can do." Gradually, with the help of wiser people, I came to realize that I wasn't supposed to do it ALL. I just needed to do a part. But what part? Thus I began to learn about my inner wisdom, my unique birthright, my own peculiarities and talents.
We are all unique, with different genetic mixes, different fingerprints, different gifts and personalities, so let's suppose that there must be a reason for our differences; a Plan. Included in the Plan is a special place for each of us, and we have been designed, by a Super Intelligence, for a special task within the Plan. Supposing that Plan exists, what is your part in it? What were you designed to do? What's your "job on earth"?
If you feel confused or overwhelmed by life, or if your life seems to have no meaning, no important reason for your existence, spend some time pondering the Plan. Whether you call your Source a Higher Power, Spirit, or God, try reading Its mind a little: Imagine-If you were God, and you had created the human being that is you, what would you have created such a person for? It's an interesting puzzle, and the clues are in your unique characteristics. Are you a good listener? Then maybe counseling is your intended "job". Can you explain things well? Perhaps you're being directed toward teaching something. Are you a mathematical whiz? A musician? An artist? Can you make people laugh? All of these talents can be used in unique ways to make the world a little better. For example, if you like to make people laugh, and you enjoy elderly people, perhaps entertaining, volunteering, or working in a senior citizen's center is your special place. Or if you are a survivor of abuse or illness, perhaps your "job" lies in helping others survive.
Like me, many others have found it useful to ponder solve this riddle. The clues and hints are subtle, but they exist. The secret to your life's purpose is hidden in your heart's desire. Discover that, and you discover meaning, joy and purpose. There is a Plan, and you fit within it. No one has been omitted, every small link fits. As you discover your secret mission, and join the rhythm of the Wise Plan, life begins to run itself, doubt fades, and joy becomes a more frequent companion. Try listening to your heart, and to the obvious things about you, and you'll find it works.
" 'I give you something, you know not what, enrich it, you know not how, bring it back, you know not when. And remember, I shall be watching you.' Said the Sun to the newborn child." - so children's writer P.L. Travers expresses the mystery of finding your 'job on Earth.'
"To find in ourselves what makes life worth living is risky business," writes Marsha Sinetar in Ordinary People as Monks and Mystics: "for it means that once we know it we must seek it. It also means that without it life will be valueless."
Did you know that problems with compulsive eating, substance abuse, destructive addictive relationships, and obsessive behavior are most often misguided attempts to satisfy the heart's desire?
We are such amazing miracles of creation. Within each of us is a driving force, that will NOT give up and go away. We can attempt to drown it out with loud, raucous living, to anesthetize it with food, drink or drugs, to avoid it through some zealotry or other, to run from it by being frantically busy, to ignore it by working obsessively, to be too overwhelmed drama and agony to notice it; but as soon as the unavoidable quiet moment happens, there it is, urging us on. Often, people misread this uncomfortable inner restlessness and call it "fear" or "loneliness", but it is only the call of the heart. Until we acknowledge it, it will not allow us to be at peace. Believe it or not, our hearts are filled with purpose and meaning, and will constantly press us to discover our true desire and act upon it.
A spectrum is a wide range of something, like the colors light creates when beamed through a prism. A rainbow. My rainbow, the one I want to share with all of you, is the warrior rainbow. It's the wide range of people who are willing to face their own fear and anger, to brave the terrors of the inner deep, to challenge the naysayers and the criticizers, because they know how important it is to be who they really are. It's a broad spectrum of people, all colors, orientations, beliefs and experiences. Nothing elaborate is required to take your place in the warrior rainbow-just the courage to be you-to face your fears, to believe in yourself, to be willing to fight where you can, while remembering a rainbow warrior always takes prudent risks-self-destruction is not encouraged.
I find that many people who come to me for counseling are "autophobic" - afraid of themselves. They are afraid of feeling emotion, afraid of being forced to be alone with themselves, afraid to find out what is actually inside them. It actually comes down to fearing the power within. We run very fast, in an attempt to escape who we are.
"If the person insists on a certain program, and doesn't listen to the demands of his own heart, he's going to risk a schizophrenic crackup," warned philosopher Joseph Campbell. "Such a person has... aligned himself with a program for life, and it's not the one the body's interested in at all. The world is full of people who have stopped listening to themselves or have listened only to their neighbors to learn what they ought to do, how they ought to behave, and what the values are that they should be living for... my analysis... is that we would rather feel alive than be alive. Sometimes it kills you, to feel so alive out there on a battlefield somewhere, or in a corporate environment where it's quite clear that you're heading for a heart attack, and you don't change your course because you are living in that stream of energy and aliveness. You wind up bargaining your life away for it."
Reading through the wisdom of the ages, I have come across this advice time and time again. Humankind's greatest teachers insist that the costs of denying your heart's desire are far greater than anything that could happen by following it. Every time my clients overcome their reluctance to know who they are, they release an inner power that transforms their lives.
What better time to become a rainbow warrior than now? Here's Dr. Campbell's advice about how to begin: "You must have a room, or a certain hour or so a day, where you don't know what was in the newspapers that morning, you don't know who your friends are, you don't know what you owe anybody, you don't know what anybody owes to you... a place where you can simply experience and bring forth what you are and what you might be... the place of creative incubation... if you have a sacred place and use it, something eventually will happen... Where is your bliss station? You have to try to find it. Get a phonograph and put on the music that you really love, even if it's corny music that nobody else respects. Or get the book you like to read. In your sacred place you get the "thou" feeling of life... for the whole world... if you follow your bliss you put yourself on a track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be."
I invite you to get acquainted with your heart's desire, join me in a resolution to surrender, to slow down and find out what is inside, straining to get out, longing to make contact with you. Make a "sacred space" for yourself, and spend a little time in it, at first reading or listening to music, and little by little listening to your heart. Perhaps it will change your life, as it has so many others. God has already blessed us, every one.

Change Your State: How To Use NLP To Feel Better Now

If you know anything about how to use NLP, you know that your state, your mental attitude, is hooked into physiology. You can change your state by changing how you're using your body. Read on to discover a fun exercise that will use your body to change the way you feel.
To simplify neuro linguistic programming, I'll give you an example. If you're sitting slumped in a chair with a sad expression, it's pretty tough to not to feel energized and excited. If you're sitting up straight with your shoulders back with a smile on your face, it's tough to feel depressed. Laugh and you'll feel your mood change even more.
So drawing on this, I created a goofy little neuro linguistic technique called the Peel and Bounce. I use it whenever I'm feeling the effects of a splat-some setback or disappointment or loss or rejection or failure.
The purpose of this exercise is to do exactly what it's called-you peel yourself off the windshield of your low point. You know that song, "The Bug?" Mary Chapin Carpenter and Dire Straits sing it. If you want to hear it, it's on the "Invite" page of the website I mention in the resource box below. The song says, "Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug."
So you peel yourself off that smashed bug low and change into a higher energy state by doing a bouncing leap. This puts you in the right frame of mind to move on to something better.
It goes like this:
(Yes, it looks really stupid. So if you want to do it when you're all alone, that's fine.)
1. You press yourself against a surface. You can lie on the floor or a bed or just lean against a wall like you're going to do a wall push up.
2. So you're pressed tight against a surface. Now you peel yourself off the surface with a sucking sound effect like popping loose of the surface of something.
3. As soon as you're free of the surface, you bounce. You can bounce once in one big leap or you can do a bouncing kind of dance. This works best if you have some upbeat music playing.
That's it. Yes, I know it sounds and looks goofy, but it really will change your state every time. When you discover how to use NLP like this, you can amp up your power so you can start moving from whatever setback you've just experienced to something spectacular.
Don't just sit there feeling blah! Watch a video demonstration of the how to use NLP [http://upfromsplat.com/invite/] exercise, the Peel and Bounce and listen to "The Bug." Using Childlike IMAGINATION to CREATE WHAT YOU WANT!

How to Use Your Imagination to Achieve Your Dreams - Lessons From Bob Proctor and Napoleon Hill

Your Imagination...
Have you ever wondered how children can sit through replay after replay of their favorite Lion King or Little Mermaid video? It amazes me that they'll voluntarily watch the same show every day without a single complaint or request for something new.
What's more amazing, though, is that adults do the very same thing with their days.
The majority of men and women play "movies" in their heads again and again, relentlessly focusing on the review of past events, most of which are unpleasant and disturbing experiences that have come their way.
I remember first seeing Bob Proctor in the movie 'The Secret'. A movie that more or less introduced the world the to power of the Law of Attraction. Now I know many people have problems with the movie as they feel it concentrated too much on encouraging people to just focus on what they want, as if that was all it takes to achieve one's dreams.
But I disagree with those complaints. Rather, I feel 'The Secret' set the stage for the most crucial step in the manifestation process - the power of thought, mindset, and focus.
Like the quote above - far too many people are focusing on the past events of their lives, wasting time and resources dwelling. Worse yet so many are living stories in their head that have no basis in reality. These are fears of future events that are only likely to become real if they remain fueled by the owner's focus on them.
Defining Your Imagination...
Merriam-Webster define imagination as:
The beauty of the human mind is that it can be molded and shaped into our most powerful asset. We have within us the ability to create a reality that is uplifting and powerfully rewarding. Conversely we have the ability to accept mediocrity and struggle as well.
The experts...
Napoleon Hill, author of the bestseller Think and Grow Rich wrote,
"You will never have a definite purpose in life; you will never have self confidence; you will never have initiative and leadership unless you first create these qualities in your imagination and see yourself in possession of them."
"... imagination is the most marvelous, miraculous, inconceivably powerful force the world has ever known."
If the movie in your head keeps you trapped in struggle, in debt, in emotional turmoil, you will not be able to break yourself free.
On the other hand if you can grasp the idea that the power of your imagination can create for you the opportunity to BE, HAVE or DO anything that your heart desires... I mean it, anything, then there is no limit to what you can achieve.
Bob Proctor says it this way...
I want to talk about Fantasy - Theory - Fact. The premise underlying this concept is that everything has its origination in the form of Fantasy, which some adventurous soul dared turn into a theory and then became bold enough to turn into a fact. The entire transition, of course, is the result of the highest form of positive thinking, concentration and what could very easily be construed as erratic behavior.
Your Choice...
Whether you believe the Napoleon Hills or the Bob Proctors, or even me; you are in control of your reality. The movie playing inside your head is your personal On Demand feature and it can be changed if you so demand it, the choice is yours.
I for one, believe that if a movie is going to play regardless, why not set that movie to one that brings me joy, happiness, improved health, wealth, love, and so on... The remote control to changing the movie - starts with your thoughts. Shift them now to empower you, focus on your desired life, reinforce it with actions and small victories and keep building on this process, your dreams are waiting.
Bonus thoughts...
To help you on your way to using your imagination to achieve your ideal life add a few of these habits into your life.
-Focus on a personal development program
-Create a small, but powerful library of positive, education, and self-empowerment rich books and read one monthly
-Write at least 6 positive affirmations and post them all over.
-Set new positive focused goals.
-Take action... daily.
As always,

After This You'll Change How You Do Everything! - Tony Robbins

Specialised Knowledge - Personal Experiences Or Observations

The fourth step toward riches. Napoleon Hill; "There are two kinds of knowledge. One is general, the other specialised. General knowledge, no matter how great in quantity or variety it may be, is of but little use in the accumulation of money. Knowledge will not attract money, unless it is organised, and intelligently directed, through practical plans of action, to a definite end."
So how does this affect us today in how we operate our businesses and go about our general lives?
For many of us here online, we are looking and working towards making a living on the internet. Most of us are in Network marketing/MLM, affiliate companies now as I write, some veterans, some brand new.
Napoleon wants us to understand that even though we are in business, our business is to make money; we don't have to know all about the ins and outs of our business. Another way of putting it could be; Work on your business, not in your business.
For me this is the acknowledgment of not having to 'know it all', it is OK to say, "I don't know - but I can find out for you". By acknowledging first to ourselves, then to others, it makes what we do duplicatable, therefore as we build our businesses we are making it easier on ourselves because we are not giving a false picture.
Henry Ford had it so right, we need to take notice! The world then, before then, after then, today and the future find it hard to tolerate the 'know it alls' of the world. We all know these people, we attend parties at friends, functions, business meetings where there's usually at least one where we all groan 'not him/her' because whenever a topic of conversation is raised, any subject from the state of the nation to nuclear wars to the weather to giving birth, they know it all, they always have a story to tell about it, they have friends of friends - none of it is ever personalised to them.
Education in life is about applying our specialised knowledge appropriately. To work in a business, whether it is network marketing or in paid employment, the specialised knowledge we need apply; 'I don't know' the answer, but I will find out.
We are always in situations that are new; new job, new business therefore it's totally understandable that we won't know the 'lay of the land'. Our new company sells a multitude of pills, potions and lotions, we use our education by acknowledging we can't possibly know about all the products the company has available for sale; by applying this knowledge in practice, business colleagues that have been in the company for years are very knowledgeable, will want to share their knowledge and will respect you for not being that 'know it all'.
Being part of a Mastermind group, joining your team business weekly meetings, is a great place to start applying your knowledge, personal experiences and observations. Remember, all who are take part are well educated people, just like Henry Ford, all come from different walks of life, some we can relate to, some will be chalk and cheese, but it is turning and using the variety of educated specialised knowledge of degrees, certificates, trades, life experiences and observations, age, maturity etc to all of our advantages - it makes us all so much more knowledgeable.
Napoleon's last paragraph challenges us to have our "IDEA - specialised knowledge may be found just around the corner - any corner" - our mastermind group is part of my 'specialised knowledge'.
I'm not here to sell a company or product. I coach, mentor, and teach frustrated network marketers to become successful leaders and I do it for free: Regardless of MLM company affiliation
You can join me, would love to have you come on board
I Appreciate You

Auto-Suggestion Napoleon Hill - Dr. Steve G. Jones

Napoleon Hill and Auto Suggestion

Napoleon Hill was no dummy and he understood the power of autosuggestion which he even used in his book, Think and Grow Rich. Napoleon Hill wrote the text with certain phrases and words written in LARGER CAPS. This method of using small caps and large caps created the effect which is known to come from AUTOSUGGESTION. It is not only a very clever way of getting your point across to others but it works very well as a way of changing your own mind when you are determined to improve your attitude for the BETTER.
Autosuggestion is a term used to describe the manner in which physical symptoms are said to be the result of the thoughts and beliefs of an individual. If you think it?s going to be bad, it will likely be bad and, if you think it will be GOOD, the physical sensation will likely be good. Scientific experiments have shown that, oftentimes a headache will go away after a patient takes a painkiller, but doctors report that the relief often takes place even before the painkiller could actually start acting on its own. The idea of autosuggestion is also something that is related to the idea known as the placebo-effect and it is something that many doctors have employed in their prescriptive practices and their counseling to patients who complain of imaginary symptoms.
Surprisingly, many scientists dismiss the reality of a person?s experience when it takes place as a result of the placebo-effect. The patient may think they feel good but, according to the doctors, they really don?t. What Napoleon Hill has done is to take an entirely different approach to these scientific discoveries and has suggested that the placebo-effect is actually one of the most USEFUL treatments that modern medicine has at its disposal.
According to Napoleon Hill, if the patient thinks they feel good, then they actually do feel good and should consider the treatment a wonderful success. Doctors seem to underestimate the importance of the mind and belief in healing and send their patients away in less than ideal conditions.
According to Napoleon Hill, the influence of the mind on the body can be used in a POSITIVE WAY to improve the way a person feels both mentally and physically. Autosuggestion is the process by which a person can train their subconscious mind to believe something and more swiftly bring about an experience of success in life. This success can even transfer into real, material gain as in the case of a person who thinks positively and grows rich. This result can be accomplished through self-hypnosis and through methods of repetitive, ongoing self-affirmations.
One of the more popular methods of autosuggestion in use today is the famous A Course in Miracles which has been shown to bring about great transformations in a person's attitude when they practice the daily lessons for an extended period of time. Students of this course report a heightened sense of happiness and contentedness which comes through the strict practice of autosuggestion. Another common tool for this end is the famous Hazelden daily affirmations which are very popular among 12-step recovery groups. The daily use of these affirmations has been proven to help an addict or alcoholic recover from the deadly disease of addiction and to eventually live a more happy and productive life.
Critics of the autosuggestion method argue that the method may be seen as a form of self-induced brainwashing. Those who find it BENEFICIAL have often retorted to this criticism by suggesting that their previous way of looking at things or their old brain could use a good scrubbing. The acceptance of autosuggestion is said to be something that only results in amore positive lifestyle and a more productive way of approaching the world. It can even be quickened through mental visualization and has been scientifically correlated with the consistency of its use and length of time that it is used.
Autosuggestion is most easily accomplished by simply presenting, or BOMBARDING, one's mind with repetitive thoughts, until those thoughts become internalized. Practitioners typically hope to turn those thoughts into beliefs and then into actualities. Visualizing the manifestations of a certain belief and then verbally affirming it are typical means that Napoleon Hill has suggested for influencing one's mind and life toward success. In reality, autosuggestion is much different from brainwashing because the suggestions originate within the individual, rather than originating from others. Take it or leave it, autosuggestion works and Napoleon Hill has successfully given it as a suggestion which has led many people to TO GROW RICH!

Develop Your Imagination

Having Faith With Think and Grow Rich

Faith is the second step to acquire that which you desire. Turning thought into its physical equivalent requires faith. In the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, faith is described as believing that what you desire will appear. That this believing is what causes the infinite to respond and provide. The book continues to point out that all thought when combined with emotion and faith will immediately cause the physical counterpart to begin to manifest into your reality.
Any thought whether positive or negative, when combined with emotion will give the order to the subconscious mind to create, this is then transmitted to the universe, or higher power, and so in time the thought will become physical. When you have a thought, and you combine it with emotion you plant a seed, and with continued thought you in essence water and fertilize that seed and in due season, that thought comes to fruition bringing about that which you have thought.
The book Think and Grow Rich goes on to say that with the above statement, you will understand that the subconscious will translate any thought impulse. It will act whether or not the thought is negative and destructive just as readily as if the thought were positive and constructive. This is why so many people are suffering from misfortune and poverty, because for the most part we cause it ourselves. Too many of us believe it is our fate to be poor, that we are mediocre, that we are doomed to failure, and more importantly, we believe it is out of our control.
There is where the book Think and Grow Rich offers hope, the book clearly and plainly states the methods and procedures needed by any person to use to create wealth where there was none, to create good fortune, opportunity, and happiness. By careful consideration of your method of thinking, added with emotion and belief, you can very literally think and grow rich. With just a little faith in yourself, you can completely change your life to be, as you want it, as you think it should be, as you desire it, and not as others have told you it should be. This is after all your life; it should be as you think it should.
Now you may be getting the hint that your thought when mixed with the proper ingredients will command that your desire be carried out, and that your subconscious will transmute into the physical by the most direct and practical method that which you are demanding. NEVERTHELESS, you must actually do it. Wistful thinking and wishing will not cause the desired results, rather you must hold the thought with added emotion, then believe that you have it, and then have faith that when you are ready it will come into your reality. Just remember the words of Napoleon Hill "no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty".

Kevin Trudeau - What Burning DESIRE Really Is! Napoleon Hill MISSED This Secret

The Burning Desire to Win in "Think and Grow Rich"

There is just no way around the fact that if you truly want something, then you will work tirelessly in order to get that which you desire. You simply can't be lazy about your dreams and making sure that you turn them into a reality. Actively and passionately pursuing your dreams, with a burning desire, is what will separate you from simply being a person who wishes for x, y or z. In short, when you have a burning desire to win, the odds of success obviously are greatly improved.
You may know the story of Edwin Barnes who was determined to work for the famous Thomas Edison. This story is detailed in the book Think and Grow Rich. Barnes did not know Edison, but what Barnes did have was a tremendous amount of determination and a very focused mind. Barnes decided that no matter what, he was going to work for Edison. He was so resolute on this fact that he didn't even have a backup plan of any sort. For Barnes there was only one real goal. There was only one thing he wished to obtain and that was to work for Edison. Any other goals that he may have otherwise had simply fell by the wayside as he pursued his goal to work for Edison with a de facto religious fervor.
In the end, while it took some time, Barnes made an impression on Edison and eventually Edison and Barnes did work together. It is safe to state that Barnes had focus, determination and drive and he needed all three in order to make his dream of working for Edison into a reality. Later Napoleon Hill would describe a man like Barnes in his book Think and Grow Rich as someone that was full of "Burning Desire." Barnes ultimately had what it takes to make his dreams materialize into reality.
When Napoleon Hill wrote his classic work Think And Grow Rich, he capitalized the words burning desire every time that phrase was mentioned in the book. It always read "BURNING DESIRE." The reason that Napoleon Hill chose to do this was because the concept of Burning Desire was so very central to his book, his philosophy and his writing. Hill knew that having that "Burning Desire" was the very heart and soul of success.
Drive, determination and focus are key elements in success. Napoleon Hill realized this fact and he knew that Burning Desire would encapsulate all of those three aforementioned concepts. If one has a burning desire to accomplish a given task, then one innately has drive, determination and focus. Thus those with Burning Desire will naturally have all three of these critical success components.
It is very important to point out that one must have a specific goal. Simply having a desire about nothing in particular or a murky concept will get you nowhere fast. For example, having a burning desire to be rich without any supporting thoughts or actions isn't really a desire but an unfocused and scattered wish. However, anyone with a Burning Desire will have the focus that is key to making one's dreams into a reality. There is just no way around this point. If you lack focus and do not even know what your desire truly is, then there is no way you can have any passion. Without passion and focus, you are not a dreamer. Sadly, you are nothing more than a wisher.
The classic book Think And Grow Rich has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. It has changed the lives of countless people, myself included. Audiobook - The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale

Believe, Achieve, And Think About It With Gratitude!

Sure, life is about as good or great as our attitudes and positive persistence genuinely make it. That is one point I agree with William Clement Stone and a few others on "who have it". Honestly though, success can never be taken for granted, and it can never be taken for granted that failure is permanent in my reality and probably universal reality.
Sure, it is possible to "achieve" using force, fraud and "pure dumb luck" at times. This warning is in order though, and it is a simple warning: "Napoleon had his Waterloo, and lost his Star Sapphire charm." Understand? Conscious and honest success that is earned is the best success to have in my opinion and in the best of reality in reality in the opinion of those that are genuinely conscientious and conscious.
The attitude beyond all luck and "providence" is the one thing we genuinely have control of within ourselves whatever the outer conditions. So, we can train ourselves to look for opportunities everywhere that genuinely work for us or hope luck works out "at least". In fact, these words just came to me in a flash "opportunity management is what life comes down to when successful". Failures really do depend on the luck at the beginning of things when successful by chance, and then cannot repeat it with skill when called upon to.
To really win fully, we must develop fully in attitude, skill and understanding tolerance or really, really lose. So, I repeat for emphasis: "Napoleon had his Waterloo, and lost his Star Sapphire charm." Consider that a command for, "Do not depend on 'pure' luck, it will disappoint every time. So will depending on forces "outside of yourself" to genuinely win. After all, winning comes from developing skill and persevering, not lucky chances, charms and tricks a dog can try to do.
So, to end this article on a great note: I can honestly say that I am always striving to have the great and receptive attitude that works to make my life ultimately a winner. I did not say that I was perfect at it. I said that I work at it all the time, listening and realistically receptive, learning all the time why to deal with it with the how and the rest of it. I am grateful for it all, right down to my "check up from the neck up" realities that serve to give me understanding. Thank God I am that rational.
My name is Joshua Clayton, I am a freelance writer based in Inglewood, California. I also write under a few pen-names and aliases, but Joshua Clayton is my real name, and I write by that for the most part now. I am a philosophical writer and objective thinker and honest action taker. I also work at a senior center in Gardena, California as my day job, among other things, but primarily I am a writer.

What Are You Broadcasting to the World?

Do you know that your brain does not make a distinction between real or imagined? That is why fear or any type of anxiety can overtake you even when you intellectually know it is irrational. And, that can be very frustrating.
The same is true for the thoughts and words that you express. By making simple changes, you can affect how each and every day turns out.
For example, when you refer to "my allergies" or "my migraines" or "my pain", your brain is taking ownership of that experience. Your brain agrees with the statement. Rephrasing and using difference words can make a significant difference. For example: "I am experiencing allergy symptoms" or "I feel a blinding pain in my head" or "I would like to eliminate the pain in my back", acknowledges what you are experiencing and going through. You are not denying what you are physically feeling, you are simply NOT allowing your brain and body to own something that could be resolved.
It is also so easy to broadcast negative beliefs about yourself without realizing it. It has become habit. Listening to and becoming aware of what you are saying and immediately rephrasing it in a positive way is the first step.
Examples:
  • "I can't trust myself." vs "I am learning to trust myself."
  • "I'm so stupid." vs "I am intelligent and learning more each day."
  • "I should have done more." vs "I did the best I could."
  • "I can never get ahead." vs " "I am taking steps towards being successful."
  • "I will never get better." vs "I am exploring healing methods."
A simple, yet powerful method of releasing your negative thoughts, feelings and experiences is to use a magnet. A refrigerator magnet is all you need.
For example:
You are feeling so frustrated and you don't know what to do about it. Grab a magnet, think about the feeling you having of frustration and bring the magnet between your eyebrows and trace it along the middle of your head, all the way to back of your neck. Do that 3 times.
Dr. Bradley Nelson, a chiropractor, kinesiologist and author of The Emotion Code, offers tremendous insight into personal healing in his book and on many YouTube videos. His system of healing is simple, safe and designed so that anyone can help themselves and their loved ones. Dr. Nelson says:
"I use magnets because I believe they literally magnify the power of your intention to get the job done."

I can speak to the power of Dr. Nelson's work because I use his methods and magnets in my holistic nursing practice in conjunction with my 30 years of study.
Make today the day that you retrain your brain and turn your life around. Success is just around the corner!
